Inside Morwennol

This is a great-value property for families or groups who want space and proximity to everything, without paying top-end prices. It’s an older-style house with a few modern updates, but what it might lack in polish, it makes up for in square footage and unbeatable positioning.

The living space is huge. A bright, extended lounge with loads of comfy seating and patio doors opening onto the garden is made for laid-back get-togethers. There’s also a large flat-screen TV and a log burner to keep things cosy in the cooler months. The kitchen diner is fully equipped and social, with another log burner and direct access to the patio for easy outdoor dining. Downstairs also features a private en-suite king bedroom with French doors to the garden, ideal for grandparents or guests who’d prefer to avoid stairs. The en-suite includes a freestanding 6ft bath and a walk-in shower.

Upstairs, there are four more bedrooms, all with sea views: a king-size master with en-suite, another king room, and two twins. Plus, you’ve got two more bathrooms, five in total, so no queues when it’s time to head out.

Outside, there’s a large walled garden with wrap-around patio, space for BBQs, lounging, games, and more. There’s also a sunny, sheltered deck at the back of the house, a great little reading nook, and parking for three cars on the drive. An EV charger is available for guest use. No garage access.

The location

explore Rhosneigr

Rhosneigr (said: ROSS-nigh-ger) is one of the most dog-friendly villages on Anglesey. It's a foodie haven, a watersports mecca, and somehow packs bars, restaurants, independent shops and golden beaches into one small stretch of coastline curving round the village. Whether you're a couple, a family three generations deep, or bringing a dog who's never seen so much sand, it works.

It's on the pricier side, but one visit shows why. Two stunning beaches wrap the village, Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan, the surf's some of the best on the Island, and the food punches well above its weight. Mornings belong to the water, with Funsport or Gecko Surf on the seafront covering surfing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding for all ages. Evenings bring cocktails, fresh food at the Blue Olive, or the Sandy Mount House or fish and chips from Scarletts on the high street, eaten on the beach or back at the house.

Rhosneigr is best explored by car, with free parking available at the property and throughout the village. The nearest train station, just 5 minutes away at Ty Croes, connects you to Holyhead and Bangor
